Seedlinks is a group of 3 sculptures, handmade by the artist onsite. The 44,000 individually placed glass tiles link to a Roman mosaic recently discovered on Southwark Street. The forms of the sculptures are inspired by the seeds of the timbers once traded here - mahogany, oak and pine. The vibrant colours, cyan, magenta and yellow, echo the inks used by IPC magazines historically to print their publications on-site. Southwark has long been associated with entertainment and performance; the sculptures are intended to create a theatrical setting within the square, allowing visitors to interact with the works and connect with the surroundings.
