Open Call for Gobo Projector Artwork: Light Up Kilburn 2026

Light Up Kilburn 2024 (Familiar Territory, extracts from poem, Home Is, Yasmin Nichols)

Are you an artist with a passion for light and an interest in creating artworks to be produced as gobo projection slides? Hive Curates and Camden Council invites local and national artists to submit expressions for Light Up Kilburn 2026. Help us illuminate Kilburn Grange Park during one of the darkest winter months and create a unifying space for the local community.

Taking place across two evenings in February 2026, Light Up Kilburn will transform Kilburn Grange Park into a captivating immersive experience of light. This open call offers two opportunities for artists to design 3 artworks, to be produced as slides for gobo projectors. These projectors will be positioned around Kilburn Grange Park, providing an opportunity for images and patterns to animate various surfaces and create captivating displays. Artists are encouraged to respond to the festival’s themes of biodiversity and women’s night-time safety, both with the aim of uniting communities. We welcome submissions both in the form of existing artworks and new ideas, with particular interest in proposals that consider community engagement.
