A free, family-friendly light festival
Light up Kilburn 2026 was a vibrant takeover of Kilburn Grange Park, celebrating biodiversity and women’s night-time safety through light, creativity and community.
At Kilburn Grange Park, the community came together for two evenings of illuminated trails, performances and creative activities on Thursday 27th and Friday 28th February. Families, friends and neighbours gathered to explore the park after dark, enjoying interactive installations and moments of shared joy.
Featuring awe-inspiring light installations and live performances, including a fire performers collective, the festival brought light, colour, sound and creativity to the heart of Kilburn, welcoming over 1,500 people across the two evenings.
We commissioned 10 artists, with a wider network of creatives contributing to the festival. We delivered 7 workshops for the local community, working with local schools and community centres to engage participants in the creative process.
